Dear Lucille,
At times, people feel the need to be alone. You will experience this feeling. Being alone can allow our minds to slow down and find clarity in a world of noise and clutter. It can stimulate creativity and remind us of what is important.
But remember, being alone is not the same as being lonely. If you are feeling lonely, talk with someone you trust and who has your best interest at heart. I'm here. Your mother is here. Your brothers and sisters are here. Heaven is here. And if you find someone who is struggling with loneliness, be a kind and thoughtful friend–one who listens and reserves judgment. Love and light are sure antidotes to loneliness.
And remember, I love you,
Daddy
